Today I received an invitation to try Storify (beta) which an online platform for creating linked stories using a range of social media links. It’s an assemblage or compendium of social media elements created by the user. I cobbled together, quite quickly and loosely, some material on DIY Urbanism. After attending the Right to the City Symposium and Exhibition in Sydney, I’ve been looking more closely at DIYand Grassroots Urbanism initiatives and discourse. Professor in the Department of Urban Planning and Design at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, Margaret Crawford, says that all kinds of people are undertaking tactical projects as a way of imagining and creating a more humane, just and creative city.

It needs more work and thought to really develop it as a pastiched narrative. Have a look and feel free to let me know what you think:
