While out walking in Aspley, John and I found this trio of Kony 2012 images stenciled across the footpath. The previous day, we noticed Kony 2012 posters in Sandgate. It’s not often that any kind of global activism plays out in suburban areas. I’ve seen the odd political poster and graffiti tagging but this is the first protest statement I’ve ever seen. I hope it’s a sign of things to come as the digital economy and social media campaigning expands to engage more people in more ways in public conversations about a range of issues.
